Micah and Hannah

My son, micah, absolutely adores his aunt hannah. She is known as "ahta". I did this shoot so that he would have a photo of the two of them to hang in his new room. This was also my first experiment with sunset lighting. I believe I'm going to start scheduling my sessions for sunset, because of the magical effects it has on the over all outcome. 

On Site Location

The Albino (Al-vee-no) House

This adobe brick home is located in the heart of Big Bend National Park. The home was originally the home of Albino Ybarra, my husbands great Grandfather. The Albino house is now a well preserved land mark, and is the oldest standing adobe structure in Big Bend National Park. My husband, our family and extended family were given the opportunity by the park to enter the house for the first time in three generations. Pictured below are Albino's great great grandson's: Micah Ybarra and Anthony Copeland sitting just outside the door where I imagine Albino's children used to play. A touch of history and a once in a lifetime opportunity for my family and ALY photography.

Just how easy is it to "win" a free photo shoot? Starting June 21st, when you recommend a friend and they spend $65 or more with ALY photography you automatically receive a free photo shoot *official rules apply. Proceeds from this promotion will be donated to the Cornerstone Apostolic Church building fund. For more details please read on for the official rules and how to qualify.

Official rules & Regulations:

1. Recommended friend must be a first time client to ALY Photography.
2. Recommended friend must book shoot prior to August 2, 2011
3. At the time of shoot recommended friend MUST provide ALY photography with the full name, number and/or email address of their reference so that ALY photography can contact them to set up "free session"
4. Recommended friend must spend $65 or more with ALY photography and must pay total amount prior to August 8, 2011 to qualify reference for free photo shoot.
5. Reference CAN NOT receive free session until recommended friends session is complete AND paid in full.
6. Once new client has completed and paid for their their session they may then begin to recommend other new clients so that they may receive their own free session as well.
7. Only one free session may be awarded per family. 
7. Free session must be used before January 1, 2012
8. Regular sitting fee and prices will be applied to all shoots. Sitting fee is due at the time of shoot.
9. This Promotion is available ONLY to DFW and other surrounding areas.

Free Session includes:

No sitting fee

A single one hour photo session in one location for up to 5 people (family). Also included, one cd containing up to twelve photos from the shoot. (Photos will be in high resolution)

* IF winner(s) desire to obtain more than twelve photos from the free session, additional photos may be purchased starting at $4 a photo.

McDonald Wedding


"It's the way they're reflected in one another's eyes"

Weddings to me are like fairy tales come to life. You see a bride walking down the aisle like a princes in her white fluffy gown, you see the tears in the grooms eyes as he tells her how beautiful she is, and all you can think of is "happily ever after". This wedding was touching to watch and I was pleased to let my "creative juices flow". Congrats to Jonathon and Alicia!
